Qualifications and Memberships
After gaining my Masters degree in Special Education and Psychology from Canterbury University in 1981, I spent the next four years in New Zealand and the UK working with adolescents and their families in residential settings. On my return to NZ in 1988 after extensive travel throughout Europe and Asia, I spent four years as a Psychiatric Social Worker before returning to university to gain my degree as a Clinical Psychologist. After qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 1993, I worked in both adult and child and adolescent areas of public Mental Health. |
In 1999 I started my own private practice in Wellington.
I had a further period of overseas work and travel during 2006 – 2009 and was based in the UK. On my return to Wellington I resumed my private practice. In 2013 I moved to live on the Kapiti Coast and began a local practice.
I see people who either self refer or come via their GP or medical specialist, or who are referred from some government agencies. I offer supervision to a wide range of health professionals. I am currently not a provider for any EAP services.
